Nostalgia

April 14, 2010

Reef as seen from Sokehs Rock during my 2007 trip to Pohnpei, FSM.

This morning as I walked out of my garage I heard something that sounded extremely familiar.  It sounded like the wind and waves breaking on the reef, and for one small second I was back on Picnic Island eating raw fish and rice watching the waves crash the reef.  It turned out to be wind in the trees behind my house, but I love starting my days with a little flash of nostalgia.

    That is an amazing photo!

Are those boats in the ocean?

Are you serious??? That is a lot of boats!!! I wanted to say that the picture would be so much more beautiful with out those things in the water, but I wasn’t sure what they were. I was hoping they were kayaks or traditional seafaring vessels, but that was wishful thinking.

Do they do anything to help the local economy or are they complete leeches?

Yeah it really ruined the picture, but that was a moment I remembered you know?
